The proposed scheme will deliver around 100 quality sustainable homes, including affordable housing, a new community facility, public open space, a children’s play area, sustainable drainage and enhanced landscaping. A new vehicular access is proposed off Laughton Road as well as potential pedestrian accesses to the north and east of the site.
The application will be made in outline so details relating to Layout, Landscaping, Scape and Appearance will be addressed at Reserved Matters stage in the future. Therefore, at outline stage, the key matters for approval will be around the principles of development and a ‘Parameter Plan’ will be submitted to define elements such as the extent of development, the location of the new vehicular access and points of pedestrian and cycle connectivity.
The submitted information will also include a Design and Access Statement that will present an Indicative Layout. The Indicative Layout Plan is provided below. This will be used to demonstrate one way in which the proposed new homes, community facility and associated green space and infrastructure could come forward in compliance with the Parameter Plan.
